Aurora Project 2011-03 Open RWIS Case Studies

Project Overview

The objective of this project is to increase awareness of the possibilities for open or home-made RWIS sensors, servers, databases, web displays, etc.  It is a series of case studies of various states who have implemented an open RWIS system of some degree.  Here, an 'open' RWIS is one where much of the deployment, management, or building of an RWIS is not done by a vendor or made up entirely of components provided by a single vendor.  In essence, these RWIS systems are 'do-it-yourself'.
