Following the recent discussion on mobile salinity sensors, I'd like to get an idea of what other weather and road condition sensors folks are using for mobile applications (specifically on plow trucks). I'm interested in measuring air temp, road temp, road surface condition, wind and present weather (precip). My main consideration for the devices is that they be ruggedized for harsh conditions on and around plows. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

As I know there are at least 2 sensors on the market. Frensor from Sweden www.asft.se/pdf/weather/Frensor_ASFT.pdf and Vaisala www.vaisala.com/en/roads/products/roadweathersensors/Pages/DSC111.aspx I know there been some tests in Finland using Vaisalas camera mounted on a vehicle, and I think the results were positve.
